Your privacy at HΞXHQ

What we do with your data, a few tips to protect it, and private email services in case you want a new address.

Why we ask you to create an account

It is a fair question. Almost all of HΞXHQ is open to everyone, no account needed. A few corners are for members only, and that is on purpose.

  • Some corners are closed on purpose

Comments, profiles, predictions, the live battle and contributions are where members share opinions, plans and who they are in the game. Keeping them behind an account stops anonymous people from collecting that information or turning members' interactions against them: tracking players, harassing, impersonating or spamming without ever showing their face.

  • Inside, everyone answers for what they do

Accounts let us set limits against spam, moderate and act on reports. Someone hiding in anonymity can't do that kind of harm here without consequences.

  • No passwords at all

You sign in with a link we send to your email. There is no password for us to store, for you to reuse from another site, or for anyone to steal from us. Each link works once and expires shortly after.

  • Your email is your key

Since there is no password, whoever opens your email can sign in to your account. That's why we recommend turning on two step verification in your email (see the tips below) and never forwarding the link.

  • What we do with your email

We only use it to send you the sign in link. Other members never see it, we don't sell it and today we send nothing else. If you prefer, use a separate address or an alias: any email works.

What we ask for and what we do with it

  • Never your game account

We never ask for your game login, password or any code from your game account. Nobody from HΞXHQ will ever ask for them.

  • Your profile is optional

Name, avatar, bio and contact are all optional. You choose what other members see from My profile, and your contact stays hidden unless you turn it on.

  • Only members see members

Comments, profiles, avatars and predictions are only visible to signed in members. Game rankings and stats, with players' in-game names, are public.

  • No ads for members, no trackers

We don't sell data, and today there are no ads and no trackers. Signed-in members never see ads. Visits are measured in aggregate, without cookies.

  • Leave whenever you want

You can delete your account from My profile at any time: your profile, comments and activity are removed right away (feedback and contributions you sent stay without being linked to you, and we delete them if you ask). You can also download a copy of your data from there.

Every point here is explained in detail in our privacy policy

Tips worth following

They work for HΞXHQ and for any other site.

  1. Use an email just for games

A separate address keeps your gaming accounts apart from your bank, work and family email. If one leaks, the rest stay safe.

  2. Or use an alias

An alias is an address that forwards to your real inbox. If it starts getting spam, you turn it off, and your real address was never shown.

  3. Turn on two step verification in your email

Your email opens every account linked to it. With two step verification, a stolen password isn't enough to get in.

  4. Never forward your sign in email

The link we send works like a key to your account. Don't forward it or share screenshots of it. HΞXHQ will never ask you for it.

  5. Keep your codes to yourself

Your HEX code (to verify your HQ) and your HQ support code are personal. Only paste them where the site tells you to.
